The Division of Arts and Humanities offers courses exploring the arts, humanities and philosophy, and developing the talents of our students from beginning through advanced levels of study. Our students are also provided with frequent presentation and performing opportunities. The Division also confers Associate Arts Degrees in Art History, Graphic Design, Humanities and Philosophy, Music, Musical Theater, Studio Art, Theater, and an Associate Science Degree in Photography.
The Art Departments include performing and visual arts: art history, ceramics, film studies, graphic design, music (instrumental/vocal), photography, studio arts and theater arts (acting/technical). The Humanities Department includes film studies, humanities and philosophy.
The Art Gallery hosts a series of exhibitions of Guest Artists, NVC faculty, and students’ works in the Art Center. The Performing Arts has an extensive schedule of music and theater events throughout the academic year hosted in the new Performing Arts Center.
