Representatives of more than 40 colleges and universities will participate in Napa Valley College’s 37th annual Transfer Day on Wednesday, Sept. 14. The event will be from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the library plaza (area in front of the 1700 building). It is free and open to the public. Students and parents can obtain information on four-year schools, and application and transfer requirements. The event is organized by the Napa Valley College Transfer Center.
Some of the participating colleges and universities include CSU Chico, CSU East Bay, CSU Monterey Bay, Humboldt State University, Sacramento State University, San Francisco State University, Sonoma State University, California Maritime Academy, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC San Diego, UC Merced, UC Santa Cruz, American International College, Brandman University, Columbia College Hollywood, National University, New School of Architecture & Design, Cogswell Polytechnical College, Devry University, Dominican University of California, Menlo College, Mills College, Patten University, Saint Mary’s College, University of San Francisco, Golden Gate University, Kaplan University, Notre Dame de Namur University, Mayville State University, University of Idaho, University of Utah, University of Washington-Tacoma, Portland State University and Prescott College, among others.
TAG Workshop
The University of California Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) Application (Berkeley and UCLA do not participate) is available online now for students hoping to transfer to a UC in the fall of 2012. This TAG application needs to be submitted in the month of September. Napa Valley College’s Transfer Center will host a TAG Workshop/Lab in Room 1760 on Wednesday, Sept. 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. Students can sign up now at the Counseling office on campus.
