Online Business Classes offered by NVC 

This fall the NVC Business Entrepreneurship Center is offering two exciting new three unit classes: Business 141 Entrepreneurial Opportunity Analysis and Business 143 Business Planning.  Both classes are hybrid courses that meet some Saturdays at NVC and the remaining work is done on-line. The first day of class for Business 141 is Saturday, Aug. 20 at Napa Valley College McCarthy Library.

The classes will cover the roles of entrepreneurs and small business in today’s economy.  Students will learn the man issues and problems of buying or starting a business including, researching, organization and legal structure, staffing, recordkeeping, marketing and financing. 

The final outcome of both courses is completing a feasibility plan and a written business plan.  These courses are co-taught by Professor Walt Unti and Beth Pratt. Students who complete the courses can have their business plans automatically entered in the December Business Plan competition for up to $1000 in scholarship awards.

Students who successfully complete these courses and courses from CORE Career Technical Education (CTE) classes in Business, Digital Arts, Viticulture and Hospitality Management are eligible to receive an Entrepreneurial Certificate of Achievement.
