Napa Valley College offers Summer Drama Camps for Teens
Act out this summer!
Napa Valley College, located at 2277 Napa Vallejo Highway, is offering summer drama camps for students aged 13-18. Teens jump into two weeks of non-stop creativity, honing acting, movement and voice skills while creating a play to be performed at the new Performing Arts Center at Napa Valley College. Summer Stage is intended to stretch students’ abilities and talents in an environment that fosters experimentation and artistic risk-taking. Classes culminate in a public performance for family and friends.
Two sessions are available, with a different play being offered in each camp. Students may sign up for one or both of the sessions. The first session is June 13-23, with a performance on June 23 at 1 p.m. The second session is July 11-21, with a performance July 21 at 1 p.m. Class meets from
10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Thursday. The fee is $200 plus a $25 materials fee. The instructor, Dan Saski, is a professional actor and teaching artist who will star as Claudio in this summer’s Shakespeare Napa Valley production of Much Ado About Nothing.
